I sing the body electric

"In the early 20th century, Fritz Kahn produced a succession of books on the inner workings of the human body, using visual metaphors drawn from industrial society—assembly lines, internal combustion engines, refineries, dynamos, telephones, etc. The body, in Kahn’s work, was "modern" and productive, a theme visually emphasized through modernist artwork."

when I was little

I daydreamed that one day I would be the wife of a ruthless business tycoon that would have to inevitably fight slander and inflammation and I would boldly and publicly defend him

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating in space.

GENERAL ELELTRIKS - Raid the radio from discograph on Vimeo.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What spend years building, someone may destroy it overnight. Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
But give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is all between you and God;
it was never between you and them anyway.

I know this is really old news

But the somali pirates still make me smile

completely confused that sometimes the wrong can end up working out

falling

Confessing your feelings to someone feels like jumping off a cliff. I think it's probably the way committing suicide must feel. Like you made a decision and you're scared as hell and you can't believe you're actually doing it, but it's too late now because you're already in the air.

Like jumping into a pool, the moment before you hit the cold water, it's too late to think about the consequences of your irreversible actions. The only thing that matters is going through with it.

I said it and my mouth went dry. I felt like I just punished somebody.

He laughed nervously.

We talked for a few charged minutes. It's like you could almost hear the high voltage snapping in the air.

And then -- nothing happened.

I realized I didn't think through until this point. Running the scenario through in my head pretty much ended here. Something epic was supposed to happen.

But, like any conversation where you're merely informing somebody about a fact, pretty quickly you run out of things you need to say. I packed my things at least three times and didn't really add anything new before I just got up and left. He seemed relieved.

Then I walked to my car and called my boyfriend.

Russian v American Mentality

I lost my passport and it takes 3 months to get a new one. This is a serious pain because I wanted to go to London next month and then Paris. Instead of waiting for my passport, I'm trying to find another way to do go.
