You know that feeling? When you're facing your enemy and you both know that not only is your gun bigger, you have more amunition and a better aim?
Or that other feeling? When you walk into a room wearing a dress, some slinky, silky drop-dead dress, and everyone turns to look, and that woman you hate is wearing something ugly that undoubtedly makes her look fat.
Or that feeling when you can win an argument in just two sentences?
Or how about when you get the guy every time, the cute one that everyone else thinks is amazing, and he is absolutely head-over-heels, no-one-else-in-the-world-matters in love with you?
It's winning, and winning not by luck, but because you are better, faster, smarter, stronger. Predestined, ultimately, always to win, and to get what you want.
But the one darn thing you want and you do not have. And a long time passes and it does not come nearer. So you convince yourself you do not want it; that it does not matter. But it does.
So the one darn thing eclipses everything else, and you actually don't have anything, because you don't have this thing, and have no power, ability, or capacity to achieve it. So you are actually not a winner, you a loser.
LOSER.
And no matter how many things you have, the one darn thing makes you unhappy.
