We haven't had a weekend for a while. The weather was beautiful so we got into the car, put the windows down, opened the sunroof and sped off north over the golden gate, through marin, and over the mountains towards the Californian coast.

We drove through Stinson Beach, passed Point Reyes, passed Tomales Bay with their oyster farms, speeding with countless cows and dairy farms flying past our windows. We passed an old Ford in Bodega Bay and bought a kite, then made a couple of tight turns hugging the jagged coast line.
In Jenner, a crowd of people stood by a cliff. There was a fire truck and a helicopter and we got out to see what was going on. A car has just gone over the cliff and onto the beach, not more than an hour before.

All three passengers survived.
