Martydrom

I saw a show on TV the other night done by the Christian Broadcasting Network. It attempted to explain the devil in scientific terms. According to their theory, evil is an energy field, a form of dark magnetism. Missionaies are sent into the parts of this world where these fields are strongest in an attempt to disrupt them. Often these missionaries are going to certain death. But their deaths, called martyrdom by the broadcast, up the nubers of new missionary applications by 25%. Maybe these missionaries think they're fighting the magnetism but it's really just dragging them to their own destruction.

There's no doubt that love is an attraction. People are drawn together. It's a form of pure light magnetism. But evil also has it's pull.
